Car Parking Spaces In Units Near Stations

The NSW Planning Minister, Pru Goward, has proposed that in 22 Council areas in Sydney the parking requirements for newly constructed apartments be reduced to zero.

The hope is that people will gravitate to public transport and that the cost of units will be reduced.

The proposal has met with opposition from local MPs with one accusing the planning Minister of turning Sydney into a third world country.
