The areas at or near the centre and those further out. There is a concentration of jobs in the inner areas.<\/li>\n<li>There are more diversity of job opportunities in the inner area and higher paying jobs in the inner areas.<\/li>\n<li>Housing prices reflect this<\/li>\n<li>Public transport is better in the inner areas<\/li>\n<li>This makes for the transport disadvantaged.<\/li>\n<li>We are putting more people put in the suburbs.<\/li>\n<li>Half of all population growth into suburbs more than 20 kilometres from the city centre.<\/li>\n<li>Cities are the engines of our economy, producing nearly 80 per cent of national income, yet<br \/>\npolicy-makers must address failures in housing, tax and transport to ensure our economic and social future.<\/li>\n<li>One of the issues I have is that it is expensive to move.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/db_drivenmedia\/city-limits-why-australias-cities-are-broken-and-how-we-can-fix-them There is a strong link between land-use and transport.
