Hyundai ix35 – Small SUV – Big sales

The Hyundai ix 35 is a small SUV.  And they are selling like hot cakes.

So far this year they have sold 10,500 vehicles.  The only other SUVs of any size to sell more are the midsized Mazda CX-5 and the RAV 4.

In the small class the next bestselling cars are the Nissan Dualis/Qashqai the Subaru XV, and the Mitsubishi ASX.

They have now bought out the Series II ix35 and they are advertising it heavily on the television.

  • Engines – they have upped the petrol engines – now a 2 litre (direct injection) and a 2.4 litre (only available with automatic and 4 wheel drive) – 2 litre diesel remains the same (only auto and four whel drive
  • Options – it’s the middle model the Elite that gets most of the extra goodies
