Privatised Victorian transport – inefficient and run by overseas governments – Fiona Patten MP

Privatisation is often promoted as a way to get better efficiencies from existing government organisations Transport is no exception and is indeed at the forefront of the strong push to court private industry involvement.

But has it been successful?  Jeff Kennett privatised public transport in Victoria along with many other things when he was premier from 1992-1999.  Has it worked?  Indeed does he even he think it has worked?
