Last year when Toyota announced that they were going to cease production of motor vehicles in Australia. They also announced that they would still launch a new version of the Camry before they cease production here so that they were in fact building a car that would probably only on the market for 18 months to 2 years.
At the time I asked Toyota’s Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, Tony Cramb whether this was the right effort for such a limited run.
He gave a wonderful off-the-cuff answer saying that they were supporting the market and doing the right thing and that they really wanted to show that we will be very serious about the Australian market.
Errol Smith and David Brown have been driving the new Camry, particularly the sporty Atara SX. He’s their thoughts.
