On the 6 and 7th September 2014 there will be the Australian Muscle Car Masters at the Sydney MotorSport Park (formerly known as Eastern Creek).
It will feature some of the classic racing cars particularly from the 60s and 70s. There will even be a race between Mustangs and Minis.
Driving a big V8 Chev Camaro from the 1970s will be Glenn Seton.
Glenn was the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1993 and 1997 and claimed pole position at Bathurst in 1994 and 1996.
What’s it like to go back to the big bangers.
To tell us Glenn joins us on the line
- Tell us about the car.
- Have you had much chance to drive the Chev.
- Are they historic cars or cars that have been built up recently
- Pretty serious
- Your boyhood hero was Alan Moffat. He is going to be at the event.
- You came close to winning the Bathurst 100 in 1995. You were holding a significant lead in the closing stages, but your engine failed 9 laps from the finish. That must have been the most gut wrenching experience of your career.
- You were the driver and manager of your own team. Is that hard to do?
- You raced in the modern V8 Supercars till 2008 – is it hard to step out of being a racing driver. The adrenalin, the crowds
- You are currently involved in the Australian Speedway scene – what does that involve?
- Father, son and child
